My first apprenticeship was in 1981 and I was fortunate enough to work with the best finish crew in the area.
From building custom homes, log homes, major and minor renovations, including working as a Builder/Project Manager I've seen it all.
Designing, creating and installing custom items to fit the specific needs of my client is my specialty.

What my Clients have to say...
Mark finished our laundry room with custom shelving, cabinetry, utility closet and counter space. He was helpful in designing our room and did meticulous work. He was neat and did all work in the time frame he committed to. We recommend him without reservation.
Mark designed and built my custom adjustable book shelves along with cabinets and drawers. He installed everything with care and perfection. I highly recommend Mark.
Mark of LinMar Construction did two projects for us here in Wake Forest. He removed a door between our master bedroom and master bath, patched all the holes from the hinges and latch and installed a barn door and track. Not only was the barn door installed professionally but his woodwork on the patching is so good you would never know there was a conventional door ever there. He arrives on time, does impeccable work, and cleans up when he is through. The second project was installing a tile floor in our 4 season room. Again, Mark did a fantastic job of laying out the tile, installing it, and grouting it. He was careful to mix the thin set and grout away from our newly installed screening so as to not get it dirty, and cleaned up the entire area when he was done. We would highly recommend Mark Dickinson of LinMar Construction for any project you may have in mind.
My wife (Marianne) and I have had Mark Dickinson do two jobs for us. Mark’s work was of the highest quality in both instances. The first job for Mark was to build a storage area for us above our garage. Besides doing a superb job, Mark came in approximately $300 under his initial estimate. Mark is the first contractor we have ever hired who told us that we did not owe him as much as we had already agreed to pay for the job! The second job was to seal and caulk our Eze-Breeze room on the exterior. Once again, Mark was efficient and did an excellent job. We highly recommend Mark and LinMar Construction for any home jobs.
My wife and I asked Mark to restore a set of dining chairs we bought back when we first got married over 25 years ago. After kids, dogs, nephews, and for many of our family get togethers, those chairs had taken a beating. Mark did a phenomenal job repairing them, reinforcing the structure, and refinishing them back to “new” looking. His work was thorough and very detailed. Since then, we’ve had Mark do many jobs around the house including rebuilding our two large decks. We recommended him fully.
I highly recommend the services of Mark Dickinson, who converted my loft into a legal bedroom with outstanding results. Mark had to frame a new wall, hung drywall on both sides, installed a door, addressed several HVAC and electrical locational issues to make this all work. He trimmed it and painted everything to match. He left it looking as if it had always been that way. Mark is punctual, polite and cleaned up very well at the end of every day. I highly recommend Mark because I believe he will bring you the same professional and personal skills to any project he takes on.
